01Who we are
Daa! is made by Mirvana Technology FZE LLC ("Mirvana", "we", "us"), an independent technology company in the United Arab Emirates. This policy explains how the Daa! app handles information — which, by design, is almost entirely a story about your own device.
02What data Daa! handles
Everything below is created by you, inside the app, and stored only on your device:
- Reminders — events, payments, and subscriptions, with their titles, dates, times, amounts, and notes
- Money records you confirm (what you paid, what you saved by cancelling)
- Family member names and colours you add
- Your first name, if you choose to give one at the welcome screen — used only to greet you inside the app, stored on your device like everything else, and removable at any time in Settings
- Your settings — language, currency, reminder times, gentle nudges
Daa! has no accounts, no analytics or tracking SDKs, no advertising, and does not access your location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
03Data on your device
All of the above lives in the app's local storage on your phone. It is not transmitted to Mirvana or to anyone else. We operate no servers for Daa! and hold no copy of your content.
When you paste or share a message into Daa! from another app, the app reads that text on your device to suggest a reminder (finding the date, time and amount). The text is not transmitted anywhere; if you save the reminder, the message is kept with it in local storage as a note.
You can export a backup file from Settings at any time. That file is created on your device and goes only where you choose to put it (for example your own Files app or personal cloud drive). Where you store your backup is under your control and governed by that service's terms — not ours.
Deleting the app deletes your data with it. That's the honest flip side of on-device storage: we can't recover it, because we never had it.
04Notifications
Daa!'s reminders are local notifications — scheduled by the app, on your device, using the permission you grant in your operating system. There is no push-notification server involved. You can change or revoke notification permission at any time in your device settings, and adjust reminder times inside the app.
06Children
Daa! is made for adults managing family life and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone — including children — because the app collects no information at all. Names you add for family members (for example your kids) exist only on your device.
07Your choices
- Edit or delete anything: every reminder, money record, and family member can be changed or removed inside the app.
- Your name: add, change, or clear it any time in Settings.
- Backups: export and import your data from Settings whenever you like.
- Start over: "Reset all data" in Settings erases everything the app holds, instantly and permanently.
- Notifications: managed in your device settings and inside the app.
08Security
Your data is protected by your device's own security — the same protections that guard your photos and messages, including your passcode or biometrics and the operating system's app sandboxing. Because nothing is transmitted, there is no account to breach and no server to attack. We recommend keeping a device passcode enabled and treating exported backup files with the same care as any personal document.
09Changes
If Daa! gains features that change how data is handled — for example an optional integration you can connect — we will update this policy first and make the change clear in the app and its store listing. The current version always lives at this page, with its effective date above.
